Rocket Drones Partner Hosts Educational Event in Nation’s Capital

Women And Drones, a partner of Rocket Drones, hosted an engaging and educational two-day event called “Drone Summer Camp” at the National Children’s Center in Washington D.C. during the Summer of 2024. The camp was a workshop that was put together by Women And Drones as a unique opportunity for children from ages 4 to 11 to explore the world of drones. 

“The camp emphasized the importance of teamwork in operating drones,” said Sharon Rossmark, CEO of Women And Drones. “Children who were in attendance learned that much like in sports or academic projects, flying drones is a collaborative effort. They engaged in activities that required them to communicate effectively, share responsibilities, and support each other to successfully complete drone-flying missions. This not only enhanced their drone-flying skills but also fostered a spirit of cooperation and camaraderie among the young campers.”
